Maybe your university is like mine? State budget cuts and crunches and belt-tightenings have made it almost impossible for anyone to get a raise,
This is very true!
Also, strangely, I just found a very strange costume in my theatre stock which I can only assume is the Patchwork Girl of Oz. I said this to my students, and they didn't know who she was!
Sort of a girly T-Rex.
She'll still rip the flesh off of bones and stuff, right?

Of course, she'll just look pretty doing it.
Dressing up for Halloween presupposes having a reason to dress up, ie, a party or something. Around here, Halloween is considered an iffy holiday, primarily to give kids candy. Adults who want to do anything particular on the day are considered weird. Mayhap I'll take the day off, stroll through the cemetery a block a way, and leave lit candles around at sunset, when it closes.
Does anyone know what they're dressing up as for Halloween (if they are)?
Corpse Bride.
Enid from Ghost World probably
If I did this, it would be the most redundant costume ever. (When I saw the film in theatres, it took me a minute to figure out why DH and my sister were laughing at my outfit when we left the theatre. And then I looked down at my combat boots...)
Emmett is probably going to be Harpo Marx.
That's what Mr. H was a few years ago. He always tries to be something non-talky. It's his one night to not entertain patrons.
Speaking of- our weekly rag's Best of came out yesterday. The bar got Best Jukebox (for the internet download jukebox we have) [link] Best Gay Bar (Sort Of) [link] and Best Happy Hour (For Three Days) [link]
I will, however, wear my Shrek ears with tiara to work.
Of course, she'll just look pretty doing it.
A T.Rex after my own heart!
ooo, yes, tiara to work. If I can find them. Crap, I hope they didn't get mooshed in the move.
