Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

ita, I assumed (and this is a big assumption) that Cuddy had advised them to sue, so assuage her guilt. But, ITA about the closing speech. It was very out of character, esp. with someone else in the room to witness it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I saw Veronica Mars for the first time last night. It's kind of appealing to my inner Nancy Drew fangirl--and boy, howdy, that's a deep mental dredging operation there--25 years or so. It looks engagingly plotty and seems to have some worthwhile dialog. I may give it another shot, depending on what Smonster and Amyth want to watch on Wednesdays.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I figured something like that too, and in fact, when House turned around, I thought that was what he was going to say. I'd have liked it better that way, because then it wouldn't have seemed so universally endorsed. I mean, shouldn't most of his patients sue? For emotional distress if nothing else?

I found House's last speech kind of OOC, too. He's not totally unable to be supportive, but it's usually one or two "you don't suck" lines buried beneath a huge pile of sardonic commentary.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I got up at seven today. Even though I am not going to work. Now i'm going to catch up all the craxy amounts of tv I've got saved. Already watched Invasion, which recoreded instead of L&O for some reason, plus a couple of Futuramas. Also have two Losts, an SG-Aquarium, at least one BSG, House, not sure what else. Also I may clean the bathroom. Should be a good day.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Gronk. I am trying to take solace in the fact that at least I have the day off tomorrow, so when I can't fall asleep until 2am yet again, at least I'll be able to sleep in.

In happier news, I have blueberry pancakes.

Okay, the keyboard with fungi is a world of eww. My personal reaction would be to tell said user to throw it in the trash and I'll bring him a new one.

I'm curious how shrift's user managed to turn his keyboard into black cornflakes, though.

sarameg - Sep 29, 2005 5:07:02 am PDT #1855 of 10002

I just took a call from a user who says that he has dropped so much food into his keyboard that fungus is growing on it.

I thought it was bad that my users sometimes flat out lie to me. Sometimes when I'm sitting next to them. I think superfund keyboard beats that.

Woke up late. I think sludge moved into my head overnight. On the blue sudafed. Head hurts. Popped a circuit breaker with my hairdrier. That's a first.

(Stopped in College Station, Dana -- the Woodland hotel in my chain was sold out. So was everything else within 50 miles in that chain.

Really? Bizarre...

But fridge! Fridge is good.

shrift, has it really only been two years. It seems so much longer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My boss is out sick! Yay! He was also very amusing on the phone, so my work day is off to a good start.
