The King of Cups expects a picnic. But this is not his birthday!

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

My family's split right down the middle -- 3 in November, 3 in June/July. As one of the Novembers, I usually end up spending my birthday money buying gifts for my dad and sister.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

February 19 is a perfectly cromulent birthday, too. But nobody wants to go over their due date.

Maidengurl, hold the camera close to the dog, slowly, non-threateningly, and let him smell it. Talk reassuringly to him, let him get used to it. He's probably frightened of the (possible) flash, so it may not help. But it's worth a try.

I need to go buy a birthday card, for DH's birthday tomorrow. Don' wanna.

Can you tell we're sorta lackadaisical about birthdays around here?

I just read all the stuff, but I'm very muzzy-headed today, and have no idea what everyone said. There was a lot of baby talk. It was interesting. And gross, when I consider breastmilk cottage cheese (though I could see giving it to the kid, except...isn't that a lot of work for something they could eat plain??). And SA's New Zealand pictures amused me because I have a copule of the very same pictures (ie, from inside the Christchurch art museum).

I slept for 14 hours last night. Which is to say, I very nearly slept through the entire day. I have not accomplished anything. Damn.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Deena, I was going to chime in with Keen or Merrell shoes. I LOVE my Keen shoes. I found mine at the Walking Company too. I tried on Danskos, but the soles were too firm for my taste. YSoleFirmnessMV

Always Anti-fascist!

Had birthday lunch with mom and have been reading library books. Life is good. Hey, bt. Missed you, bunk. All good thoughts for Matt's dad. Ooh...that's got to be awful.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

He's Lillian's age, more or less, and she's got five and a half teeth.

She's a toothy girl! Franny was 8 months when she finally broke her first tooth. By 12 months she had the toothiest smile at daycare. But it sounds like Lily will beat her.

Burrell, does he still have his surfer dude 'do?

Kinda. I trimmed his bangs and now he looks more Mersey beat. But in the right outfit he's totally a surfer dude.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Lillian is alarmingly toothy. I keep waiting for her to decide the nipple's a chew toy.

In other exciting baby news, my child has rejected bananas. I think they killed her village or something, to go by her reaction.

Did you mash them yourself? Sometimes that can be too textural for a new eater. Try the jarred kind before you give up. In fact, with all first foods, try them again a few times before you give up.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I keep waiting for her to decide the nipple's a chew toy.

I've seen Owen rip the tip off a rubber nipple. Let me just say how happy I was that I had stopped nursing a LOOOOONG time before that.

Dammit. I've got a smoke alarm chirping low battery at me and I can't figure out which one it is.

erika, your mom's birthday? Or did we mess up big time and let yours slip by?
