Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Art Crawl!!!

I saw an adorable (is there any other kind?) beagle when I walked home from the bus stop. It was tiny, tri-colored and wearing a red sweater.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Somehow dogs in clothes are as funny as monkey on ice.

Compassionately intolerant

I've been seriously thinking about getting Bartleby an Elvis costume for Halloween.

Silence means security silence means approval

OK, I'm now leaving the office. I would have left on-time if I didn't feel the compulsion to clean the office because my boss is doing his Pointy-Haired Micromanagerial Hypercritical thing again.

He does this about once a year -- he feels compelled to take control of every situation by offering critiques that are akin to duck nibbles. And once he locks on, the ducks will nibble and nibble until you're dead, insane, or both.

So, by cleaning the office and clearing 2-3 major things off my plate, I hope to avert the attention of his pointy-haired nature.

But, honestly, I'm tired of this bullshit, and I need a daughter to bounce in the front window when she realizes that I'm coming up the front walk.

move out and draw fire

Good morning. It's 5:45 am and I've been up for 2 hours, after the big 4 hours of sleep. The baby is this close to getting himself shaken.

I jest.

He's doing the separation anxiety thing, where if I'm not holding him and/or looking at him, he falls apart. This is obviously a problem when he wakes up in the middle of the night - now, instead of putting himself back to sleep, he howls. It's also a problem in that he can no longer sit in the kitchen and play while I cook or do dishes, because OMG SHE'S NOT HOLDING ME AND/OR LOOKING AT ME!!!! See also being on the computer (it's loud in here right now), going to the bathroom, driving.

Thrive to spite them

The breast milk stuff is weird.

The yoda hat thing is cute.

The Lightning lost. Again. They played so well against Atlanta...but maybe that's because Atlanta sucks. Our guy Ranger is out for a week maybe more. He got a Concussion (I think they said Level 1 or Condition 1 or something 1) and a hairline fracture in his jaw when an Atlanta player elbowed him hard in the last few minutes of yesterday's game. The game they won 6-0. The player is going to be suspended for ... I'm not sure how long, but Atlanta already has one player suspended for kicking an opposing team member.

I watched the game at Mom's. Came back and closed the bedroom door to change because the living room shades were up and the handle fell off the door. I had to climb out the bed room window to get back in the house. Luckily we unstuck all those windows.

Then I had to go get my meds and go to the pharamcy by the colleges. one has homecoming. Going there and coming back I saw 7 or so cars pulled over, some had 2 cop cars. And I saw one police car in a parking lot and someone did something (I couldn't see) and the police officer pulled out of one driveway and into the next behind the car. I have a feeling there was a lot of that going on tonight.

Argh! That's not a fun time with baby, Raq. I hope he gets past it quickly. Aidan's been doing a little of that again. I have no idea why.

Askye, yay for unstuck windows and other cars being pulled over instead of yours. Boo on the Lightning loss.

I just watched the latest episode of Threshold with my honey, and now it's time for bed.

I hope your day gets better, Raq, with a side of nap in there somewhere.

move out and draw fire

I'm clearly going to have to rethink my drinking habits...and maybe develop some.

I tried to nap on the couch, with the baby sitting with toys between me and the back of the couch. That was going fine until the cat jumped up and laid on me. Mallory, who loves the kitty beyond all else, grabbed a double handful of cat ass - and then bit it.

I suppose it's fortunate that he aimed for the furry part, and not the leather cheerio, but I've been cleaning cat hair out of his mouth while he giggles, and am unimpressed.

The cat is still in shock.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Oh Raq, I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time tonight, but that made me laugh and laugh. I startled the cats and caused them to run right into the wall. They look a bit put out at the moment.
