Why couldn't Giles have shackles like any self-respecting bachelor?

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Try to post 3 times and nothing happens, try again and it posts twice.

This is not yet proof of weirder behavior, I swear.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have the pretty laterns above my bed lit with tealights. Good things are happening already, Deena. Which, sadly, does not mean porn -- but it is cozy and pretty.

Pretty tealights are always good things. I have been inspired to put candles around (in tall places) so I can light them after the babies go to bed. Just because no one else in the house gets it doesn't mean I have to do without.

We bought a new coffee maker today since ours died a couple of weeks ago (the horror!). The new one is all space agey shaped and has the interrupty feature (the last one didn't and I didn't realize it and my interruptions probably contributed to its demise). I have coffee! Late, but I'm not caring at this moment.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I get to answer meara in my own meara! How meta...

You two have been together for quite awhile now haven't you ChiKat?

A little over a year, so yes. It was time for one of those talks, wasn't it?

Though the lemon-butt is a possibility for tomorrow, now that you mention it.

Ummm.... lemon-butt chicken??

Doctor visits and accomplishing of things

Deena, I'm glad you're getting some results from your doc! I hope the new meds work out.

Now, I must away and finish my midterm!

::swoosh::

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

{{Cindy and Ben}} More hoping-it's-nothing~ma for you guys.

{{Susan}} All the hairpats you want, sweetie. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

ImemeN, which may or may not be of the good, I finally had an interview at work for a position I applied for nearly two months ago. There's only two of us applying for it, so we should know fairly quickly who it went to, but I'm almost afraid to know. I'm so tired of being turned down. I think I'm the best candidate, but, hey, I'm biased, so what do I know. At least we finally got it over with and I'll know one way or the other soon. I was starting to think they were going to decide to just eliminate the position. Fortunately, my supervisor really wants someone in that position, because as a reservist he often ends up spending anywhere from 2 - 4 months totally gone while he's either in training himself or giving training to new recruits. Plus, they are talking that if he gets activated (which is becoming more and more of a distinct possibility) whoever gets the assistant team lead job will have to step into his shoes and (this is the good part) will get paid as a full team leader while he's gone. Extra money never hurts, even if it's only for a year.

Candles, especially candles that make you happy, are of the good. I have a kinda thing for having scads of them about but even just one puts me in a better mood. Something primal with the flames maybe, or just fire pretty.

California lemon-butt chicken was christened by DebetEsse. It's just roasted chicken with sage rubbed under the skin and some garlic and halved lemons shoved into the cavity. It is amazing roast chicken but nothing more scandelous. I think it is in the cookbook actually.

Masses of getting the job~ma, Sail!

Hey. New board.

Cooking is fun. And French food + wine with friends is delicious and fun, though 'spensive and not to be done regularly.

That's all my wine-addled mind has to say right now, because I failed to process the last 20 posts for some reason. Should go to bed.

Because books.

{{{Cindy and Ben}}} All fingers crossed here, and my most powerful, patented nothing-serious ~ma on its way to you all.

Gentle hairpats and {{{hugs}}} to Susan. Hang in there.

Much job~ma to Sail, who deserves a raise! For more than a year, preferably.

That's all I've got. I feel like I was busy all day long, but there's not a hell of a lot checked off my to-do list, now that I look at it.

I ate sauteed mushrooms today and blame you, Gris. They were delicious though never made it into a fritatta due to the numminess.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I am glad that Cass and Deena have candles to make them happy.

{{{Deena}}} I am sorry about the psoriasis. Good luck with everything.
