Lindsey: Why--why did you... Lorne: One last job. You're not part of the solution, Lindsey. You never will be. Lindsey: You kill me? A flunky?! I'm not just...Angel...kills me. You...Angel... Lorne: Good night, folks.

'Not Fade Away'

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Raq, it sounds like it was overall successful. I'm sorry about the headache.

I want some eye candy. All I've got is Nick, and he doesn't count.

I didn't figure out the smooth thing, but today she says her arm hurts from the inside, so at least the smooth isn't bothering her anymore. She's also trying to use big words when she talks to me, and some of them aren't English, or even Latin. I think it's an attempt to be more grown up.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Has she been secretly learning Finnish?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Exam~ma for vw and sj. Finding~ma for askye.

Raq, I always wanted to go to Athens when I was stationed in Spain. One of the squadrons, VQ-2, had a more-or-less permanent detachment there. I could have flown in on an RON (remain over night) flight and done some visiting, but I never got the chance. It makes me very sad.

I want to go home, too. I've been "troubleshooting" the same unit for nearly and hour and a half. I keep hitting the reset button and watching the same stupid commands scroll down the monitor. Then it gets stuck in the same place every time. I watch and hope this time it will unstick, but it doeesn't and I hit reset again. Lather, rinse, repeat. Hey, at least it looks like I'm busy.

Deena, did you ever find out what was bothering Kara yesterday?

All Bran:

I see the "smooth" question has been answered. If she says it again, Deena, try putting lotion on her hands. It's the same complaint my daughter used to make.

Never figured it out.

Finnish! That could be it. I wouldn't recognize the sounds, I'm sure, unless they sound like the Swedish Chef.

She's also been on a "What Would Jesus Say?" kick. I don't even know where it came from, but it's verra strange. "What would Jesus say if you got stinged?" is the most recent, though she's also asked what he thinks of her television choices, the fact that Aidan repeats everything, and how the cats play, among others.

Always Anti-fascist!

I scratched mine once, reading the comics. I got ointment and wore a patch for two days.

How much do I adore Kara? Sooooooooooooooooooooo much!

Test-ma to the takers.

Finding-ma to askye (are you in any way Catholic/Episcopalian/Greek Orthodox/Other denomination that lights candles to saints? If so, St. Anthony. I'm not (anymore), but was raised Catholic, and mentioned it once when a former boss (Greek Orthodox) was in a panic because she lost a watch that was a present from her folks years earler. She came in my next shift and hugged me, 'cuz she lit a candle to St. Anthony and found the watch next day. Yexperience with saintsMV.

Yay for successful trip (& return) for Raq, DH & Mal.

Morning, all.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

She came in the my next shift and hugged me, 'cuz she lit a candle to St. Anthony and found the watch next day.

In college I interned for the Catholic magazine St. Anthony Messenger, so I was well-steeped in Anthony lore, including the ditty "Tony, Tony, turn around; something's lost and must be found." For real.

move out and draw fire

the rest of us probably wouldn't mind getting to Athens.

Well, then, come visit!!!

Um, ew? Only when my eyes are really dry does anything like this happen, but never quite that bad.

Did you take pictures?

We did. I'll probably post them tomorrow.

Sail, I've always wanted to get to Spain. We will probably have matching travel fates in that.
