A ghost? What's the deal? Is every frat on this campus haunted? And if so, why do people keep coming to these parties, cause it's not the snacks.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If it's not actually messing with your life, treat it as a more scary-sounding version of "which FF character are you?" -- or in other words, what Rick said.

Well, I suffer from anxiety and depression, which meds help a lot with but don't entrely alleviate. I'm wondering if an accurate diagnosis of AS might help in the treatment of the anxiety/depression.

Thrive to spite them

It can't hurt to bring it up with your therapist or doctor.

Mostly lurking...

Ugh. I got an e-mail from a girl in the class that I'm the tutor for. She wants "e-mail" help. Well, that would actually be easier for me, but then I won't get paid. I don't know what to tell her. I'm a big fat meanie, and I want to get paid.

'Til we dance away...

I think there is some crossover, especially with the anxiety issue in regards to overstimulation and the like.

I need some job advice. I'm looking at relocating, probably in the next few weeks. Is there any point to sending my resume out now? Or will people not take me seriously with an address in a different state? Could I even find a place to live if I go somewhere and don't have a job? I have no idea how people manage this.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Ho-lee crap. I just found out that all the writers who are full-time employees on my team have been RIF'd (Reduction In Force). Boy am I glad my contract ends in a week.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

If that's the case? Go forth and get thee a real assessment, but still don't worry too much about what an internet test says, except as a starting point. I was treated for both anxiety disorders and depression off and on for much of my life before being diagnosed with ADHD -- with some success at nailing the immediate crisis, but without ever feeling like the "real" problem was being gotten at. Starting points are good.

But even so, I still say try not to worry on the basis of an online test. Unless it tells you you're Badger.

What is even happening?

vw, feel free to copy and paste:

Dear [girl's name],

I received your request. I am unable to provide e-mail help at this time. I have a heavy course load, am working, and the tutoring I do helps supplement my income. If you would like to start working with me as a tutor/[continue with] tutoring, please let me know.

Thanks,
Valerie

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

!!!

Jilli, I thought your contract was for another month. I'm totally losing track of time, here.

You know, that happened to all the writers on my old team when it was turned into what is now your team. I found out about it on our way to the Dracula thing for your birthday when I ran into one of my former officemates.

But as a bonus: a very fine hat.

vw, why can't you charge her the same rate you'd charge in person? Is this is a private arrangement or part of an organized tutoring service that structures things that way? Because there are certainly all kinds of people who charge for email consulting of various kinds.
