Well, hey. It's my family. She said, basically, I ought to tell you this because I ended up telling the people in Kansas this, but personally my money's on cat scratch sickness, so don't get excited.
Oh, Emily.
The Goldenrod in York Beach holds a special place in my little black heart...
I'd make a note in your file, but I don't keep files. Tell me about when you went to the Goldenrod.
"Gothic Charm School Alumni Association" would cover everything, probably. I'm not sure which would be more satisfying design-wise, the above or "Alumni of".
Definintely "Alumni of" because 'Association' is a bear of a word to make fit well in the image.
Yes, I am doing this RIGHT NOW.
I think we should talk Jilli and Pete into entering themselves and Clovis for this one:
My name is Kirstin and I am a Casting Producer for ABC Television's show, Wife Swap. We are looking for a family that is into Science Fiction. We want families that not only love the movies and TV shows but also love to attend the conventions and participating in any type of sf club! The premise of the show is to take two very different families and switch the mom's for a week. Each family should consist of two parents and at least one child over the age of five and should reside in the continental U.S.. It's a positive experience for people to learn about other families and other ways of life.
This is a very unique experience that can be life changing for everyone. In addition, each family that tapes an episode of Wife Swap receives a $20,000 honorarium. Anyone who refers a family that appears on our program receives $1000 as a 'thank you" from us. If this sounds like your family or a family you know, please call me at 212-404-1418 or email me at kirstin.dodich@rdfusa.com. Thanks for your interest!
Cindy, you can get Devon clotted cream at Whole Foods -- it's not as good as you'd get at, say, a café in Bath, but it's pretty good for this side of the pond.
That's good to know. I will remember that. They're far enough away that I never go to one. But close enough that I could end up in the area for something else, and in that case, I would make a stop. Is it their own brand? There is another organic market that is close enough that I'd make the trip just for that.

Ooh, we could pretend the whole board thought it up and put this in the F2F fund.

It's just that homey and family-oriented. Which, of course, is why we call it "Mom Swap".
Tell me about when you went to the Goldenrod.
The Goldenrod is part of my childhood, along with the Fun-O-Rama where I played lots of skee ball. We spent our summers in Boothbay Harbor, with side trips camping in York Beach and Union.
Em, the tv is off, and New!Not!Emily has gone to study in his room. It's safe to return!
Come. I'll fix you ice cream. And e-mail the woman at the Y.
Is it their own brand?
I can't remember, sorry. I don't think so, though -- I think they import it.
[eta: The jars look like this. Whether that's the brand or not, I can't tell, but it's a very similar packaging if not.]
