Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Perkins, will you send me the recipe? I didn't realize that when I subscribed I still wouldn't be able to get it.

Also, I need to remember to call them. Who expects, when you buy a magaizine and then subscribe, that a month or more later they'll send you the same freaking issue that's been out for two months? Normally I'd let it go, but when you only get six issues, it's really kind of annoying. Plus, I notice there's a new issue on the stands that I have yet to receive. Is it always like this?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

But then I would have to make the frosting, too, and then clean up, and other stuff.

Hey, did you see my post about Hershey making Dutch process cocoa now? They are calling it Special Dark.

Ooh, there's my other annoyance. The discusion in the CI cookbook about the cocoa thing contradicts the sidebar about it on the same page.

Brenda, sure.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Hey, did you see my post about Hershey making Dutch process cocoa now? They are calling it Special Dark.

I have some of this! But sadly, I don't have the CI recipe, either. Just as well since I'm too lazy to make cupcakes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You don't have to make the frosting. Last time I didn't even sprinkle icing sugar. They were still great with coffee or tea.

Special Dark? How confusing.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Things I’ve learned from British folk ballads

That's fantastic.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Special Dark? How confusing.

It sounds like a euphamism for retarted chocolate. Hmm, but it is Hershey's...

Hmm.

Plei said the Special Dark tested well in CI.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I think the DH has used all my Ambien

Raq, the generic name is zolpidem, if that helps. (Not that Ambien is generic yet, but, it's like Advil ---> ibuprofen, or Tylenol ---> acetaminophen.)
