This must be what going mad feels like.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Hopefully it's still in the same place, otherwise your clothes are going to hang funny.
Apparently my brain off drugs, not much clearer... D'oh!

I shall not get my brows waxed today, they are closed.

I don't know nothing about sterilizing jars for making jam, sorry Susan.

Silence means security silence means approval

I want to make blackberry jam. Should running the jars and lids through a dishwasher cycle be as effective for sterilizing them as my old technique of pouring boiling water from the electric kettle over them?

Dear, if you run the lids through the dishwasher they won't seal properly.

The National Center for Home Food Preservation says no:

Before every use, wash empty jars in hot water with detergent and rinse well by hand, or wash in a dishwasher. Unrinsed detergents may cause unnatural flavors and colors. These washing methods do not sterilize jars.

You still need to boil them after washing.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Dammit. Sterilizing is more work than making the actual jam. If I hadn't already promised several people jam in return for various favors, I'd be tempted to forget about it this year.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Should I go buy a $1000 camera that is on sale for $800? It would mean that I could take my own show photos and keep my portfolio up to date, but that's a lot of money.

Yes, but think of the high quality porn you could shoot with a camera like that!

Heh. I've done a number of shows that had nudity in them, but I don't think they qualify as porn.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Keep trying I guess.

It's the SLR Digital Rebel with a zoom lens.
