Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is Ellie short for?

Elizabeth

Oh, just like a character in a few stories I've written. I knew I'd heard "Ellie" as being short for Elizabeth, but I'd begun to wonder if it was at all common.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Well, there went that.

I was this close to qualifying for a $2500 clinical trial on depression. But, once upon a time, I had a seizure. Dammit.

Why why why won't this kidlet nap?

She's being cheerful, but I know she's tired, and will thus wind up a Crankaboo if she doesn't snooze soon. And I'm running out of things to sing to her...

(Well, appropriate things. I could still bust out the Eminem.)

Emeline frequently falls asleep to "Lose Yourself".

Trust my rage

I told Joe "Eleanor".

We originally had this name in mind but it's on a list of "would cause family problems" name. I've met 1-2 Elizabeths who were called Ellie but not many. Her initials are ELI, which is a coincidence.

eta: I know I've mentioned before, Ellie's favorite bands are the Killers and Green Day. We listened to the Killers non-stop across the country.

What is even happening?

What is Ellie short for?

Elizabeth

Huh. I'd totally forgotten that, or didn't know, and thought you'd talked Joe down to just Ellie.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Crap. I've waited too long to go to the post orifice and now it's rush hour. Guess I'll have to pick up all the mail that collected while I was on vacation tomorrow.
