Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Librarian Warlord

I was going to write something about how much that house would sell for in my Bay Area neighborhood, (it looks like a bargain to me), but I've decided I'm depressed enough over the housing situation and I'm just going to sit here quietly and sob.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

When a piece of crap house too small for a normal family on a busy street across from a vacant lot goes for $314K, it's overheated.

Same house in LA? $659,000. Not kidding. My friend is selling theirs. Bad neighborhood, too.

House prices = the crazy

Emeline = the cute, in spite of scary Miracleman DNA.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

With Jilli and Pete around, I just have to note that this site says bats aren't rodents - they're actually more closely related to primates.

So does this mean that bats are, basically, goth monkeys?

Thrive to spite them

There's a house in Mom's neighborhood listed at $260,000, it's not big by the neighborhood standards (which isn't that big) and has more than a postage size lawn. It's been on the market for almost 3 months now so I don't think it will get what they are asking.

Mom desperately wants to get out of her town home and into a one story house, but she can't afford to buy anything in the neighborhood.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The house down the road from us, identical in size and era, is going for $314,000.

Can't say that I'm shocked.

Wonder if it will magically turn into three $350k townhomes...

Now tagless for your comfort.

t pets her affordable, Midwestern housing prices

Sure, we have next to no culture or scenery. Not sure if equity is a good trade-off.

move out and draw fire

What's the square footage on that house? It's gorgeous. I like that they weren't afraid of color inside. I'm a big old sucker for Craftsman stuff, though.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

To-Do List for Next 5-10 Years

1. Write best-selling books
2. Contemplate Seattle housing market
3. Contemplate political direction of country, lack of universal healthcare, etc.
4. Move to Canada. Or England. Not that the housing market is any better in Vancouver or Victoria or London or Bath, but universal healthcare!
