Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Huh. For once I am saddened that I don't remember what I dreamt about last night. I kinda like my Very Strange Dreams. They disturb other people but I usually am just amused by them.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

So, Plei -- is Lily conversing at an advanced level yet, and you just haven't told us? You know I have prophetic dreams....

She does chatter a lot, but it's not a Stewie levels yet.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Teppy, earlier this week I dreamed Annabel told me that she could understand us perfectly well, thank you very much, but she was waiting to talk until she could enunciate clearly. (She's still not saying much, but I'm starting to notice her kind of imitating and echoing more. And she seems aware of her tongue and has been sticking it out a lot for the first time, which makes me think the tongue tie has been an issue and is just now resolving enough that she has a good enough range of motion to talk. Which makes me incredibly pissed off at our pede for not snipping it when she was wee, because if that's all that's slowed her speech...grrr.)

The same night I dreamed I was the hero of my novel, fighting in the battle scene I'd just written for him. It's probably a good thing DH didn't try to get cuddly with me at any point during that one!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Lily: "I know, and it's driving me crazy! I think I should have just started with 'mama' or 'dada' instead of full sentences."

This is fantastic.

Meanwhile. It's almost 5 a.m. here. I think maybe I should be in bed by now.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

It's almost 5 a.m. here. I think maybe I should be in bed by now.

Good date, then?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

How's your back, beth?

pretty good . I think it was just yelling at me to slow down.

Also, how are your Mississippi relatives doing?

no electricy, but they have been clearing the street themselves with the "boy toys" a neighbor has - including chainsaws and bulldozers. they live on a lake so they have been 'showering' there. and they hope to have running water soon.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just realized I don't have any diet coke in the house.

For something that doesn't matter much, this is really a VERY BAD THING.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

FYI, I had lunch with The Scola.

I assume you are all intensely jealous.
