Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm on board with "feh," "ouch," and "bleargh."

Question- is it the pain that is making me nauseous, or the ibuprofin?

The ibuprofen I bet. You should eat something mild to settle your stomach.

yes, but the nausea! Also, the needing to move to acquire mild food.

What is even happening?

If you didn't take the ibuprofen with food and/or milk, it's probably the ibuprofen upsetting the tum, Nora. You poor sweetie.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

KIds are watching Zorro right now. This class of boys caught a snake yesterday during our Nature walk, and named it "Colitas" and gave it to the Bio teacher.

It's a pretty ok day, except for the $$. But this too shall pass. Dammit.

Smoke pot. It cures the nausea. May not be the practical solution, but studies say it works.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Imma give this day a gronk.

I'm still wanting to crawl back into bed, but the girl's awake, so that's not happening until naptime.

The status is NOT quo.

I have the drunken sailer song stuck in my head. That pretty much sums up my day thus far.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Have you gotten to the little-known "dress 'im tweed and make 'im shuck quayhogs" verse yet?

I'm getting a whole Panda Mom / Panda Cub vibe with Ple and Lilly, with some panda-bundling in between.

Grrrr. On the top ten things I dislike about my boss - being punitive when I need to ask her for something.

Me: "Do you have Jane Schmoe's resume? Partner wants a copy?"
Boss: "You should have a copy of everybody's resume. You should have it on your computer. You should have it in your email. You should have it scanned and put into the tracking system."
Me: [unsaid] "Oh for fuck's sake! It's just easier to ask you since you keep the files, and I'm not even in Recruting any more. On top of which this person was in the satellite office and I sent all her material there."

I miss my boss at my old Firm. Going to her for information was not considered a sign of weakness.
