Oh Jilli! You must must see it. It's so sumptuous. The evil is so wickedly elegant. They do the Henson thing where the good girl goes Goth.
And there's no designer alive who handles metallic tonalities like Dave McKean.
In other developments, the last half hour before bed tonight Emmett was reciting Doc Holiday's Greatest Scenes from Tombstone. Kid's got good taste.

I have the big art book that
I haven't looked at yet,
for fear of spoiling the movie.

Yaaay!
Jilli, I see Jeff and Company were going to Serenity tonight. Or, rather, are there right now.
C-ko was at our showing. We saw Unca Jeff going in as we were driving off.

We saw it on the Eastside @ Crossroads, after figuring out that our clever plan to go see Mirrormask tonight wouldn't work due to it not actually showing anywhere.
I just posted in the Firefly thread about the movie. LJ too. If you're spoiled, go look. Otherwise, DONT!
Oh, good, I can email Jilli with my silly.
Dave and I couldn't find a time to go see Serenity together until Sunday, so I am waiting until then. I resisted the urge to go see an afternoon show today and just not tell him.
I can't go until Monday. One of my CPs and I are going after writers group.
Stupid busy life.
So, I'm debating about whether or not to see
Corpse Bride
in the theater or to wait for DVD. I loved
The Nightmare Before Christmas,
but not all Tim Burton stuff. The reviews seem to be mixed, but I really liked
Nightmare.
The next week or so are going to be completely taken up with rewatching
Serenity,
but I would welcome any pros or cons about
Corpse Bride,
particularly comparing or contrasting with
Nightmare,
if appropriate. Unfortunately,
Mirrormask
doesn't come into the picture. It is not here, and I would be kind of surprised if it comes here at all.
Sigh.
