JohnSweden! How was Pennsic?
Spiders...I'm ok with them. My mom used to be terrified of bugs, so my dad made me kill all the ones in the house, just so I wouldn't be like her. I don't like them, but I can deal. Although, I was just doing some cleaning and came across something rather scary looking. I don't want to think about what it was...
Poptarts:
Whooooo! I have a job interview at school tomorrow.
YES! Tommy gets a dingdong.
This made me laugh and laugh, b/c my mom and stepdad use the word "dingdong" to mean any sort of minor injury/bruise/thump on the head/boo-boo.
In their parlance, you don't want a dingdong.

If it was less than common, I'd say earwhig, silverfish or centi(milli?)pede.
Ants, roaches and misc. beetles aren't hard to ID.
Good luck with the interview, vw!
We went to the zoo. Just the North American/American Hollow side--I can't walk all the way across the place now. But O got to pet goats and sheep in the petting zoo barn and we saw buffalo, grizzly bears, pumas, bobcats and otters.
The boy is the proud, new owner of a small plastic giraffe, a zebra and a lion (which he keeps calling "cat").
I'm not listening to Katrina news and avoiding rageyness. We need a nap.

In Lou Reed's parlance, a dingdong is something that one might suck on.
I miss O. He must be so big now.
