Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Come on down - I've been wanting to hit the Saddle Rack, but never had anyone to go with.
FUN! We might just have to plan that.
Why don't profs return my e-mails? I need information, people! I'm here on campus to do work, but I can't do that work without info.
ION, one of my NOLA friends has found that her house is intact, although the fridge exploded.
Did the contents become a new god?
Cashmere, other than hiccup girl, how was the film? Also, when I reply to your text messages via my e, do you get them?
I do, indeed get them. It's very handy when I'm stuck somewhere to be able to email people from my phone.
The film was gorgeous, of course. I have a few nits to pick with it, but overall, it was as good as Joss could have made it (especially on the stingy budget). I've opined in spoilers and LJ.
Mini-meara:
MEARA!!! The pictures are so cute! Yay.
Susan, I sympathize on the body-betrayal thing, as well as the "DAMNIT! I should be better NOW!!" feeling. I switched my mousing hand over to left some years back to relieve shoulder issues, and it worked like a charm.
Ah, the memories of country music. I know most country pop music from '92-'96, because the safest place in F'banks for us to go dance was the Silver Spur (the queer club opened up in '97). Any other club, the young GIs would be trolling for meat, and they had a very hard time taking "no" for an answer. At the country bar, anyone who stepped out of line would be veryvery sorry. Very. (I still can't two-step for the life of me. I always want to go into a waltz.)
Johnny Cash is no genre. He is Johnny Cash. I have to say, the new biopic is looking incredibly good. I may have to see it.
Raq, good to hear about your friends, though the 'splodey fridge is a little scary.
dagnabit, I wanted to email Rio while she recovers, but I don't have her email - not in profile... so Rio, if you see this...drop a line to my profile address!
Owen has learned to push the dining chairs around the room and scramble up onto them. Gah. It was just last week I found him standing up on the coffee table. It's reached the point where his development is going to proceed at a faster pace than I can keep up with.
Wheeee!
Raq, what's the weather like in the fall/winter in Greece? I have some long sleeved rompers in 6-12 month size that may fit Mal and was wondering if you'd be interested in them.
quick recovery-ma for Rio.
Yay, Stephanie and Joe and all being Home!
The other day, Daniel found a Nutella clone called Mondial Cream at Big Lots. It is not quite as good, and also somewhat runnier. I can, however, confirm that it is very good on oatmeal.
What, like that's not better than eating it off the knife.
ETA: I'm so, so, so envious of Raq's vacation plans. The place looks gorgeous. Plus? Horsies.
Rio, ouch. Let me know if I can bring you anything or do anything to help out, 'k?
{{{Susan}}}
Yay Stephanie on being at home together! Very nice news to read.
{{{Rio}}} Hip surgery. Ouch.
It was just last week I found him standing up on the coffee table.
Increased mobility is definitely a double-edged sword. Welcome to the world of climbers.
Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Pasty Cline are actually my favorite country singers.
I am Cash. I have multiple Patsy CDs despite the fact that half the songs on each CD are the same. That way, I can spread the Patsy love around between home, car and work and still have my favorite songs.
Stephanie, I'm so happy to hear about your whole family being together again. I think of those pictures you posted when Joe came home to meet Ellie and it just makes me want to cry to think of that beautiful family together again.
Susan, definitely get in to see the PT. Even if you get the pain to go away with drugs, there may be lingering weakness in the muscles that will just cause it to happen again. And when it does, it will be worse. A few weeks of PT can do wonders and it often doesn't take up much of your time, 10-15 minutes daily is all.
