'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Some industries expect you to wear the suit even though nobody does; others (software) refer to people as "the suits" and do NOT consider it a compliment.

He's fairly certain that this company falls into the latter.

This, except I'd wear the blazer unless he gets in there and sees that no one else is. Probably a tie, too, but maybe a kind of funky one - not red and blue stripes, anyway.

He was thinking of slacks, a shirt and tie, but in a brighter color than he would normally wear for an interview.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Surgery-ma to Cass' grandmother.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

He was thinking of slacks, a shirt and tie, but in a brighter color than he would normally wear for an interview.

That sounds good. I'd avoid jeans and t-shirts for any interview, but what you describe sounds dressy enough to be respectful while avoiding a stuffy suit vibe.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Happy b-day, Nicole!

~ma, Cass.

ION, Harvey apparenly still loves me. He was just snuggling and purring on me. Was so sweet, he had his head buried in my shoulder.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think TG has the right of it for the outfit. Business casual, just dressy enough to say, "I care" without overdoing it.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Well, crap. Board just ate my post...Short version:

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'd go with khakis and an Oxford shirt, with a possible blazer in the car if he's worried.
This. Khakis nicely pressed and a nice shirt.

I just don't understand my SiL. (Background: She lives in Orange County and is probably geopraphically closer to the hospital than I am from home.) She's upset that the surgery is happening earlier because she was going to come down this evening. Um, because it is *much* more important to have said you were there visibly wringing your hands than to go down at the same time and actually talk with the person when they are in recovery and after. And it just seems so selfish, she wishes the surgery weren't moved up more than six hours for what I think is her image instead of maybe being relieved that this is six fewer hours of my grandma lying there in agony.

I just know I am going to end up deleting this since it is just frustration talking.

I mean, I don't understand her and never will but I am also aware that I am hella overreacting. Especially since I heard it second-hand from my brother when he called. I need people or people-shaped objects to kick in the head. I also need to learn to kick people in the head.

Thanks. I bought him a nice burgundy dress shirt for his birthday and a black and gray tie that isn't the usual striped pattern, so he is leaning toward wearing that with black slacks, no jacket.
