Gabriel: Are you trying to destroy this family? Simon: I didn't realize it would be so easy.

'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter is satan? That might explain the name.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

blah, bored today.

Weekend: went to visit my grandmother who is now living in senior community (she lives independently in a condo/apartment type space) Still... kind of depressing. She misses her home and I can only imagine how annoying it is to start a new social live at the age of almost-90.

We are going to try to visit her more often, hopefully Saturday day trips will be manageable, because that would be optimal for all involved. (it's about a 2 - 2.5 hour trip each way)

My grandmother also pawned a mink stole off on me, which I DO NOT WANT, but she told me to sell it on eBay and make some money. I knew she was going to do that, and was prepared to say no, but she suckered me into it somehow anyway. Dammit. Does anyone have any knowledge on minks, values of said, and how to sell a stole? I was also thinking about selling it on commission at one of those places that does that.

I need that thing out of my house toot sweet.

Thrive to spite them

Timelies.

vw I hope your doctor is cooperative. Right now I'm in the Excel 1 training and I've learned new stuff! My supervisor suggested I take Word 1 but I was all "I know that stuff!", turns out I could learn somethings.

I'm ded ded ded from all the lethal baby cuteness. Only caffiene is keeping me awake long enough to actually learn.

Every baby should have a plush Cuthulu to drool over.

My friend said the naming convention there apparently is still Given Name + [Dad's Given Name + Son/Dottir]. So, right now, nobody in the family has the same name.

As a result, people are organized in the phone book by their first names.

At Ellis island these not-family-names of Scandinavian immigrants suddenly turned into family names.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm thinking Elder Gods do not much care for being drooled upon. Howsomever, there was much Buffista-baby cuteness yesterday.

I have acchieved pendant-y goodness. I wonder if any of Dan's cameras are capable of getting a closeup of the crystal in the setting I made - fine (34 guage) silver wire, some silver colored beads, and leather cord which I braided.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Better today. I still get burny, achey pain along the muscle between my right shoulder blade and my spine, and also down my right tricep, and I'm sore and stiff all over, but dw is on his way to work and I'm going to do my best to function. Hopefully Annabel will be in one of her independent moods and not inclined to climb all over me today.

Mostly lurking...

Just got back my first big assignment for Advanced Composition:

What a magnificent piece! What a list! And a two-dimensional grid!

A frustrating assignment? Maybe you've seen it all before, but here's something new! Heath gives us "aids to memory," and everybody's got them in the projects I've read so far. But, what I have not seein is how writing here lets you reclaim memory --

Can I have the file, 'Writing in Valerie's World," for the class? I'd actually just use the reminiscences. What I would do is use it with Proust --if you don't know it, you should: >[link]
