No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Here she seems to be doing her best Dean Martin impersonation.

That one made me grin and grin.

I seem to be having a day again. I feel guilty about it, because it's all just duck nibbles.

Today I have:

  • woken up too early to take Paul to work.
  • managed to rip my new diaper cover while cleaning it.
  • got stuck in traffic on my way up to the comic book store to pick up a prize I won but cannot use.
  • as a result, ran late getting to my mother's so that we could attempt to go do something.
  • got stuck in even worse traffic on the way to something, causing us to get there and realize we wouldn't make it to the event we were going for.
  • been stuck in a car for way too long with my mother driving, a cranky baby, and a growling stomach.
  • realized that after gas and minimal groceries, half the week's budget is already gone.
  • had the grocery bag rip on me as I was taking it out of the car.

On the plus side, my neighbors appear to have a chicken, which I discovered when I looked up to see it strolling casually through my lawn.

Hey. New board.

This... is awesome.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm planning to go to Daylesford with AS over the Melbourne Cup long weekend. The front-running B&B for our custom has ducks, geese and chooks roaming around the grounds. Not quite as cool as the Coffs Harbour resort that was home to a colony of eastern sea dragons, but a definite plus nonetheless.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I ha a friend who had a pet chicken. It acted as a watchdog. Watchchicken. It was a rooster, but it never crowed, that I heard.

I'm tired. Was up early and did house stuff including clipping the dog. Went to Miami and had a nice visit with Alibelle. We were too late for the thing at UM so we shopped and ate and stuff. Then went to aunt's house where MIL is doing her post surgery recovery. Made people food and banana splits. Home now.

Bed soon.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Know what doesn't suck?

Being at the farmers market, buying some butter from ronnybrook, mentioning that my friend is jealous of my access to their creme fraiche, the dairy lady tossing some into my bag gratis, walking three tables over and buying some killer peaches, slicing the peaches into a bowl with some balsamic vingegar, and then (just now) dipping peach slices into creme fraiche to my heart's content.

THAT doesn't suck.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Mmmm.

I chopped another peach into tiny pieces and put it in the freezer. Tomorrow I am going to make sugar free chocolate ice cream in my little one-quart ice cream maker with schaffen bergen chocolate and some killer cream and milk from the dairy. At the end-stage of the freezing I'm going to put in the little chunks of peach.

I think these facts should make up for the splenda.
