I seen you without your clothes on before. Never thought I'd see you naked.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh, no, Tep. I'm sorry. Are you OK?

Oh, no, Tep. I'm sorry. Are you OK?

I'm stressed, trying not to cry at work, and just wanting to run and hide.

Instead, I have to go volunteer at this charity thing that one of my friends *begged* me to volunteer at -- it's only 6-8, and I'm working the silent auction table, which means I basically answer questions like "Yes, you write your name where it says NAME."

But I just want to....hell, I don't even know what I want.

If I only had a brain...

Steph?

This is a geniuine excuse. "I'm sorry, Sophia, my father is hospitalized and I can't make it." You have every right to say that.

Absolutely. I hope everything works out well for your dad, Steph.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What Betsy said, Steph.

Yep.

But -- it's not like I'm going to be *at* the hospital, or anything. If I weren't at the charity even, I'd probably be in a fetal position under all the covers.

You have every right to do that. Or to go home and take a hot bath, or a naked movie, or whatever. Don't force yourself to perform.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

{{Teppy}} You need to take care of you, too. And if that means staying home to sweat it out or go to the hospital to be with your dad, do it. Tell your friend you will volunteer at a later date, but not tonight. Rainchecks are very much acceptable in this type situation.
