Love isn't brains, children, it's blood, blood screaming inside you to work its will.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

And have pissed off JackAssDave.

Tummy is growling for the flesh of my enemies or maybe just Mexican.

I thought JAD was history? Why is he still around making your day annoying?

Hey, maybe one one of the smaller hole-in-the-wall Mex joints could do something with "Que es esta carne?" fajitas for you - maybe they'd even give you a discount for filleting it yourself...

Mostly lurking...

I just reworked my budget. With the new job and new insurance, I can figure in a CRAFT budget each month! I'm SO excited!

JackAssDave is now just a contract employee and working from home. The pain is reduced greatly.

This was a storm we knew was coming actually. He's a little pissed we are billing his clients without his input or approval. He's got a point actually, but we're trying to edge him out. It's like a subtle and undiscussed coup attempt.

Yay for craft budgets! It's so nice to know that there is this money all set aside just to make you smile.

Aha, put up with purposeful irritation now in return for a JAD-free future? Good luck in your deviousness.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I am all caught up here and in livejournal and in e-mail. I might actually have to do some work. That's no good.

I didn't know this was physically possible, which is why I never really got going in LJ.

Compassionately intolerant

I wish it would rain in DC. It's feeling pretty arid around here, what with the weeks of no water from the sky and all the hot air.

Update on friend's mom who was missing from NOLA. Turns out, she and her companion went on 'hurrication' and neglected to tell anybody. The decided...just as the hurricane was landing that they really, truly needed to see the Clinton library.

They've lost everything but 'the two setsa drawas we had with us'. Still, they seem to be in pretty good spirits and are staying with friends of my friend in a very plush neighborhood in Houston. May just stay there, it seems.

Closer to home...I just got contacted by a fella I haven't seen in 20 years. Not sure how to feel about getting together.

And, I fell into a fixing gig that has turned into WAY more than I was hired for and should be priced much, much differently. Trying to figure out how I can honorably renegotiate. Feh. The boss grovels and thanks me every day...how does one say "Less cowtowing...more cash!"

Kinda...

He's miserable to work with if you help him and he's just a little more miserable to deal with when you don't help him.

Mainly we just really need to bill these projects and he put it off for too long. So we did it.

And he is having a hissy because he wasn't consulted and he doesn't get to charge us for the time if he doesn't do any work on it. Now that he has to account for his time, he is trying to pad the time anywhere he can. Demanding to be copied on everything, lets him bill time. It's annoying.

But I think I am on the winning (and the right and ethical) side so it hopefully won't come back to bite me in the ass.

My lunch was disappointing.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Egh...2 Cokes, 2 Advil and 2 Excedrin. I think it's time to call it a migraine and go home.

Beej, I am glad they are safe.

I'm no good on asking for more cash. I like the cowtowing though. I don't get enough of that either.

vw, you gots mail.

Ack, Empress! Go home and rest immediately.
