Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Try cranberry supplements, thought I don't know how effective they are after a UTI has set in.

It's on the list, but has to wait til payday. Way back when, doc said 4oz per day of pure, as in $6/quart nasty tasting, no sugar added, pure cranberry juice per day (permissable to add in diet soda to make it tolerable) or if I couldn't stand it, 1000mg vitC twice a day. I've got the C.

Thanks for the suggestion, erika. I was figuring to look at the ingredients for the herbal meds given to my Harvey for his UTI/struvite crystals problem, to flesh out my supplies come pay day.

What is even happening?

If you're going in to get your urine tested (and you really should) the cran tablets should wait til after, because they can futch with the results. I think they even hastened the work of the anti-biotics. But yes, you can make them a regular item of health maintenance. I love them.

Always Anti-fascist!

Golden seal is good to have because it's also a good cold/allergy remedy. Unless you have either diabetes or high blood pressure, and I'm sorry I can't remember which. Make sure you get the root and take it with a lot of water.

Yes, I take mine every day. They are cheap at Trader Joes.

t adds Goldenseal to list of supplements to take

Actually, erika, would you recommend taking it for specific ailments or is it something that could be used as a preventative type of thing?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I've used it to prevent my drug screen from turning positive.

Thrive to spite them

I've had UTIs so often, sinc eI was a kid, it used to be really painful when I peed, but not anymore. I get UTIs but my symptoms have changed and once I waited so long I started running a fever and had the shakes.

I don't drink enough water, but I try to. And I can't take cranberry supplements because they caise stomach issues.

Probably not. No $$ to go. We really really really want to, though.

Always Anti-fascist!

I use it when I'm sick. Mom says it's a natural anti-b, and I cannot contac my colds, or take Sudafed, or anything. They make me sick, so it's one of my only anti-histamine choices. I'm not sure about preventative use...probably people at the health food store will tell you more than you EVER wanted to know.

Yeah, thus, my asking the invisible friends first!
