We die horribly and painfully, you go to hell and I spend eternity in the arms of baby Jesus.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I have 223 pages to read before 4:30pm tomorrow. How likely is this to actually happen?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Cookbookies, did you happen to snag the peach salsa recipe I posted?

And, umm, do any of you remember where I posted it? I need to archive it locally, and it only exists here, drat it.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'd leave it, Windsparrow, but I'm reckless about such things.

Eh, I've heard of people storing soups and porridges on the stove, just bringing the pot to a boil every 6 or 8 hours. I had it on the very lowest heat setting, and it had a vigorous boil going. So I'm thinking it may not even have cooled off much before 6. If we die of food poisoning, I'll be sure to post one last time.

What is even happening?

You're the little bug that could, vw. I say it is entirely likely. Walk away from the PC, and start reading.

Oh, Deena, good for Kara. I know that's hard. Chris did something similar last week. He went to a friend's for his first real playdate. The mother told me I could stay as long as I like, but he's been dying for a playdate since Julia started having them last year.

I was talking to her for a few minutes, while Chris and his friend were in the other room. Then he came into the room we were in, and said, "Okay Mommy, you need to go home, now." The other mother was practically in tears on my behalf. I'd expected it, because when Chris asked if I'd be staying (back when we were still home), I'd explained that the mother said I could stay for a little hiwle, or the whole time, whichever seemed more comfortable. He'd said he wanted to have the playdate on his own, like Ben and Julia do, without Mommy staying.

I think we decide it means they are well adjusted and secure in our love. *Sniff*

Walk away from the PC

What? You're taking away my PC? NO FAIR!

Ok...um, if you see me around here, yell at me, k?

And Plei, I think I snagged it. Let me check around a bit.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I made my parents go home on my first day of school. I think it meant they were irritating me.

Plei:

2 mangos
2 ripe peaches
1 jalapeno pepper
1 red bell pepper 1/2 medium or one small sweet onion, chopped fine
2 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp lime juice
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped fine. (Substitute fresh basil if cilantro-avoidant)

In a large bowl, mix salt, onion, and lime juice and let stand while prepping the remaining ingredients. Chop mangos and peaches into small chunks, add to bowl and stir well. Seed and mince jalapeno, add to bowl and stir well. Seed and chop red bell pepper, add to bowl and stir well. Add cilantro or basil and stir well. For best taste, allow to sit for at least one half hour before serving.

Can I put it in the cookbook? I don't think it's there yet.

Cindy: OK! OK! OK!

Because books.

Good news, Tep!

Babies! So adorable. I love the story about Kara.

The news about Polgara's mom is so awful. {{{Polgara}}} and {{{her sister}}}.

Hec, some kids have apparently been teasing my Ben about his weight. This whole "not wailing on other people's children" rule seems horribly unfair.

That peach salsa sounds absolutely yummy. I can't wait to see the cookbook.

ImememeN, my dad seems okay. They let him go home, since the nuclear stress test machine was down, and he's going to see his own doctor on Thursday. He sounds very sober about the whole thing, and I think it scared him, but not enough not to grumble about getting no sleep in the hospital last night, and the rude nurse who turned all the lights on at 3 a.m. to take his blood pressure, frabbish, frabbish...
