Deena, they're getting so big! And her hair is getting so dark!
They are HUGE. I think Aidan is only half a head shorter than Kara now, and Kara is such a big girl. Her hair is darker, and more unruly. She refuses to allow me to approach her with scissors though. And I was just going to shape her bangs a bit! She wants her hair to grow out again.
Cindy is funny.
Edit: not because of the kids. She's right about that. They're kids. Who ride big yellow school busses. Pardon me while I sniffle.
Kara pictures crack me up. so confident. Adain still has hints of baby....
good looking kids.
erika, I think we're talking about the same song.
"I Swear...by the moon and the stars in the sky" It was the Big Song of the summer and seemed to be playing over the PA system every time we went into the hospital.
Adain still has hints of baby....
This isn't the same thing as having kids, but -- the reason I love this picture from my bro's wedding so much is because the way he looks, the way he's smiling in that exact moment, I can see the boy he was, as well as the man he is.
Kara's first day of school, we hung out in her classroom for about an hour while she studiously ignored us, and then we told the teacher we guessed we'd leave, since she was doing so well. The teacher said that was fine; some kids don't need the hand-holding. So I went and told Kara that it was time for us to go. "OH NO!" she shouted. "I just got here!" When I explained that I meant Mommy and Daddy were going she said, "Oh, okay." and walked off.
>cookbook team, i sent in a recipe several days ago, but I never got a confirmation e-mail or anything like that. Did you get my recipe?
We did get it. I’m sorry you didn’t get a confirmation e-mail.
Stephanie, thanks! We got the recipe, and it looks delish!
And Raq answers much faster than I do!
Job~ma to Anne and Trudy!
{{{{{Polgara and Sister}}}}} I have no words. I am so very, very sorry.
Steph, I’m so glad your dad is ok.
Kara is SUCH a cutie!
Oh, and Aidan in his pizza is just adorable!
Pardon me while I sniffle.
Me too!
I have had a bio-filled day. I’m exhausted. Is it bedtime yet?
Glad your father's doing OK, Steph.
Emmet's story is why I don't let kids get away with even that punch-to-the-sholder greeting in the library. It can escalte or change way too fast.
Yeah, this happened once with the kids I was teaching this summer. Started as playing, quickly became actual fighting.
Steph, I love that picture. Your bro and his wife look so happy (and relieved).
