May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Jilli, basically this: [link] but brown, and tricked out.

Cash, my skin gets tetchy, too, which is why we switched to the natural brands ages ago. If we buy on sale and stock up, it's about the same as regular.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm going to check at WF to see what they carry. My other natural food market is very small and doesn't carry large quantities.

Silence means security silence means approval

Dear Boss: Next time a 300 page document crucial to the future of the school needs to be written/edited, please DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO DO IT.

I'm sitting here sticking numbers into a Word table as fast as I can. Hour two of that feeling of "I'm expending a lot of brainpower to do something exceedingly boring knowing the numbers are all wrong due to some data normalization problems." And the "key" number upon which EVERYTHING spins appears to be completely wrong and may have to be calculated by hand, which means I'll have to runs hours of data queries to make sure there are no errors in the system before adding up 225 numbers to get it wrong again.

ARRGH.

What is even happening?

Aimee, I'm so sorry you had to give the kitty up, and don't know how you could have come to a different decision.

vw, toward how much of your total grade does your lab grade count? Toward how much of your lab grade does this one lab count?

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

xposted with GWW:

I just finished my rough draft.

It's a strange feeling, at once triumphant and bereft. And I feel like the real work is still to come--editing it until it's the best I can make it, querying agents and editors, in general doing all I can to find it a home.

But I did it. I've written two books. That's something, right?

That's fantastic, Susan. I can't even imagine how many people have just one book percolating for their entire lives.

Congratulations. Best wishes on shopping it around, too.

I bought some shoes today.

So yes, it is definitely something. It is a big fat AMAZING something, which shows dedication and talent far beyond the majority of the populace.
