I had a whole section about civic pride.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I don't understand consuming the sugar substitutes in coffee, or on a bowl of cereal. Does anyone here do that?

t raises hand

I use either Splenda or Equal on cereal and in my tea/coffee. But I don't use a lot. I just got into the habit when I had GD and never quit. Of course, I'll probably get GD again this time.

I also have a sugar/splenda blend for baking that I use sometimes, too.

for this tank, I might bend my no sleeves rule. If it goes on sale, that is.

DH has offered to watch the baby tonight while I go do something fun. I'm too tired to do anything fun. Maybe just a quick trip to the bookstore or something?

Susan, much continued ~ma for you. That job sounds fun!

Cash, I love j.jill! I just bought this sweater coat a little while ago. I went into the store and one of the sales clerks was trying it on. They had to go get one out of the box for me, they hadn't even hung it on the display floor yet.

Sail, that is PRETTY!

OK, that's it. I've decided--I have to leave the house to do something. Anything. Just to do it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Leave the house! Have fun! Do something exciting, for me!

(Not that I go stir crazy)

Susan, insent. I seem to have a spare little yellow coat, if you were wondering where it went.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Perfect jeans: low-rise (but not so low my undies hang out) boot-cut, with a bit of stretch.

Tep is me. I can only wear straight-legged pants if they're ridiculously wide and worn with a giant belt.

And on that topic, I have a question -- where is a good place to get a waist-cincher type belt? I don't need anything corset-strength, just something big and wide and preferably black leather.

There is a squirrel out on the roof next to my balcony. Because I have the glass door open, the cats are sitting there looking at the squirrel. The cats aren't saying anything, but the squirrel is being quite vociferous. I had no idea the things could be that noisy.

What is even happening?

Cashmere, come to my house. I'll chocolate you up but good, before the gd GD test.

All kinds of job~ma to Susan. Sounds like today went really well!

I just bought this sweater coat a little while ago

OMG, Sail, that coat is gorgeous.

I have to leave the house to do something. Anything. Just to do it.

Oh, do! My big evening out will be next week's PTA meeting.

I need to figure out what to get my niece for her sixteenth birthday (Monday) party next next weekend. I am resisting the urge to get her a chastity belt

Hahah! That would be hysterical.

It appears to have worked out; we paid $850, which is a lot better than $20K+

Wow, that's DEFINITELY better!

Knives down, everything else up. I fear the stabby potential of the knives, but otherwise I think it dries better business end up.

With David on this one. Until I read this, I didn't realize I had an opinion! Ah, b.org, where you form opinions on things you didn't know needed one...

But they have unpasturized, imported cheese!

I thought that was illegal!

And I also like their butcher counter--applewood smoked bacon is teh yum.

Yes, and the one time I was wistfully looking at the packages of 8 bratwursts, they noticed, and kindly made a tiny package with just 2 of them, since there was no way in hell I'd eat 8 before they went bad.

There are sodas elsewhere that are made with sugar instead of HFCS?

There are some sodas (not, like, NORMAL ones, but fancy ones) that do--MinneapolisGirl is allergic to corn, so I had to stock up on non-HFCS things while she was here. :)

"Sucralose contains carbon. Other things that contain carbon include George W. Bush."

Hee! "Dinosaurs ALSO contained carbon. Perhaps soon this will be EXTINCT!"

Not the waistline located where the fashion industry has been trying to trick us about, which is anywhere from 3 to 6 inches lower than the natural waistline.

Yes, but I'm not sure I want to go back to really high-waisted pants, cause I feel so covered up and constricted in them. Not that I'm down with the "Look how far my bikini wax goes" but just a little bit below the natural waist...
