I'm happy to say Madison is finally getting a Trader Joe's. While I like the Whole Foods here, I think Trader Joe's has some stuff that I can't find even at WF. I'm ready for it to happen now, but it looks like a year or so. They have to gut/demolish the old grocery store that used to be in that location. Ah, well, at least it's not another Walgreen's.

We had a big local chain close up all its stores--so I was glad to see WF jump in and fill one of those empty stores up.

I loved Trader Joe's in San Francisco. Sadly, they have no plans to come to Georgia anytime soon.

Thrive to spite them

Does anyone drink Diet Coke with Splenda on a regular basis? They put some in our drink machine instead of regular diet coke and I've been feelign funny the past few days and I think it might be from the Splenda.

I end up feeling fuzzy headed and slightly like I have a headache. Slightly off on top of that. The only thing that's been different is the Splenda.

That's too bad, Ginger. I didn't think we'd ever get one either. The city has been looking for someone to fill that spot for a couple years, now. They made some demands, but gave them a huge TIF deal to get them to come here. I, for one, am glad.

What I like most about Trader Joes at the moment: They have their pumpkin butter in stock. ::drools::

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Ooo! I should go to TJs and get some.

I'm avoiding peanuts while nursing, and TJs has sunflower seed butter. So. Damn. Good.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hmm. Have discovered new yummy snack: apple slices dipped in fat-free Greek yogurt (which I got at Whole Foods) that's been mixed with a little honey and a dash of cinnamon. This was mostly an "I'm starving, what do I have in my fridge that could possibly taste good together?" thing, but it really works.

that sounds yum, Hil.

I get the Greek yogurt at Whole Foods, because it is 20 cents cheaper than at Trader Joe's.
