Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

'Selfless'

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I can't even.

A fascinating and unique analysis of outfield defensive prowess. It validates what the eye sees - Ichiro is the best defensive outfielder in the game.

That's a nice piece of analysis, Hec. Thanks for the link.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I just signed up for a philosophy course at my local community college. I haven't taken a college class in 20 years. Exciting and scary.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Beh, I hope J gets some medical answers and some peace soon. Worrying yourself into a fret over health is just never a good thing.

That's why I t cue product shot of Crank choose just getting totally pissy.
A friend called for some tech help setting up her new cable modem and wireless. I booked home, checked the provider's site for information, called her back and had to leave a message, texted her cell telling her to call me when she got home and waited.
For over two hours.
I just called her and whoops, she got distracted and was cuddling with her honey who was getting ready to go to work so could she call me back?
I basically told her to forget it and hung up rather quickly.
It's late, I hurt and frankly I don't like people asking for favors and then blowing me off.
Especially since she is married to a pretty tech-y guy and I don't have a clue while he isn't just hooking up the new internet connection.
Just feels like I am being taken advantage of and we hateses it.

Hey, JSw!

Oh! Have fun learning, Zen!

And even with a couple of minutes reflection, I am overreacting. She shouldn't have asked for help and then blown me off but, eh...

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cass, I think it's a pretty crappy thing to do. I'd be upset, too.

Zen, I think that's great! Ignore the tag, by the way.

Hi Cass!

I don't think you are over-reacting. It's okay to be miffed at being dangled around like that. (I'm not a puppet, dammit) I would still help and all, but I would brook no cat herding on the timing and availability. (stompy foot -- we are opposed to cat herding tendencies of our friends these days, yes indeedy.)

I was at fight practice tonight, and seem to need one more ice bag than I have. I'm all Ibu'ed up. Perhaps I should consider the sleep thing. Busy busy day at work tomorrow.

Silence means security silence means approval

On the flipside, The Mariners ruin more pitching arms than most major league teams.

I know the guys that run this blog. This has been a running question the last couple of years, and it's good and bad that it's finally been validated.

Good that it's finally been identified as a problem. Bad that there's no obvious solution, other than maybe having guys be more Jamie Moyer and less Felix Hernandez.

The A's have been very, very good about keeping their young arms healthy. Almost all the A's pitching problems have been back related. Wish we could poach some of the A's minor league pitching staff and start fixing the problems.

Annabel is mega-hyper lately, wanting to climb everything. If it wasn't going to rain this weekend I'd take her to Golden Gardens to run free on the sand.

Oh I am totally miffed. But I shouldn't really be surprised.

I'll help her, but I won't go out of my way to kowtow to her whims.

She's still having territorial issues since her husband got back from (all together, four out of the five years she's known him) overseas. He and I were friends before they met. So she has to show me that she is more important to him, which yeah they are married. Then she has to show him that she and I are better friends than he and I are, which no but it's not important. Peeing on stuff. I'm trying to stay out of the spray basically.

I hope it is just a reaction for J and that he is diagnosed and treated successfully very soon.

Ice? I'm going with heat tonight. And another dr.'s appt on Saturday. Other than the sore, how was practice?

beth, much ~ma for J. That is scary--but that's my own experience talking. I hope it's not too serious.
