Kaylee: Is that him? Mal: That's the buffet table. Kaylee: Well how can we be sure, unless we question it?

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And I'm such a grammar nerd that I can't even understand how "flaunt" and "flout" can be confused for each other.

Flaunt means to show off, and flout means to blatantly ignore rules, conventions, etc.

Right?

Signed,

Too lazy to look them up.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Flaunt means to show off, and flout means to blatantly ignore rules, conventions, etc.

Right?

Yes indeedy. (Well, "flout" means "to show contempt," so as long as you're ignoring the rules in order to show contempt, then yes indeedy.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I adore using "effect" as a verb. Properly, of course.

Not just me then.

And I'm such a grammar nerd that I can't even understand how "flaunt" and "flout" can be confused for each other. I'm becoming as obsolete as hot metal type.

Not just me then.

Question: All Saints Day - apostrophe or no?
