It's like, in the middle of all this, I'm paranoid that you'll think I don't like poetry.

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Oh, how awful. Apparently, Jennifer Hudson's mother & brother were found dead in Hudson's home.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oh how horrible.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Did anyone who was listening to A Prairie Home Companion a couple months ago and heard a female artist perform a song, I'm pretty sure is called "Fishers of Men" happen to remember who that artist was?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

After a long avoidance, I finally started re-listening to some music that I think is going on my annual mix, and DAMN the most recent Ladytron is really, REALLY good. I personally think the first three songs are worth the price of the disc (and there's other stuff that's really good too).

thanks DebetEsse!

edit: and now it's on my ipod. Truly we are living in a golden age.

I think 10 minutes is the cut off for $0.99 songs. You can get In A Gadda Da Vida as a single but you have the buy the album to get Low Spark of High Heeled Boys.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Yeah, that's the case with my CDs. If it's over 10 minutes, you have to buy the whole album.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Didn't know if I should post my question in here or in Natter, but I'm looking for a list of countries which can't get iTunes (read: Apple won't accept credit cards from them), such as mine (Israel), to prove a point (that I'm pissed of).

Does anyone know where I find it?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The expensive solution would be to go to every country and try to buy an iTune song from there. If anyone wants to underwrite my attempt at this, let me know!

“Not dead yet!”

Shir, this is perhaps backwards, but here's a link to an iTunes overview that lists the countries that receive iTunes and when they received the capabilities.

[link]

On a slightly different note, here's a list of countries that were slated to receive the iPhone, but that didn't have the iTunes store: [link]

And here's an article about the iTunes App store, that talks about partial stores that are in the process of being built and Israel is on the list.

Don't know if any of this will help.
