I mean, we all loved Weezer but save your adoration for Rivers Cuomo, man.

Randomly, I just friended an old high-school era friend on Facebook and evidently he's working for Weezer now. He seems to be on tour with them anyway.

“Not dead yet!”

Has anyone got an MP3 of the Natalie Merchant version of "Because the Night?"

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I do. Live performance, at least. Not sure if there's another version.

Yeah, that's the only one-- the unplugged performance. Seemed like iTunes had every other version, including one by Springsteen, that I didn't even know existed, and one by some techno chick named Cascada that scared me.

You want it e-mailed?

Also, I believe the Springsteen is the original version.

You can ignore my blabbering, then. Gimme a second to find it on the other computer, and I'll send it. on.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Bruce Springsteen wrote it for Patti Smith and it was her sole hit.

He didn't record it until later.

Trivia: He wrote "Hungry Heart" for the Ramones, but his manager wouldn't let him give it away.

I did not know that but it totally makes sense!
