There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

And Ray-Ban Wayfarers.

I think those still have their place, just not with all the other elements.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

However I'm not going to re-visit the oversize t-shirt and leggings thing.

With a giant asymetrical belt in a contrasting color

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I was proud of being the first kid in jr. high with day-glo socks. And I do kind of miss my bi-color batwing shirt.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I had a Nehru jacket! (Okay, so it was a little tiny one.)

“Not dead yet!”

There was one kid in my high school who dressed like Thriller-era Michael Jackson Every Single Day. Completely with the jheri-curls.

And another who dressed like Prince.

And more Def Leppard Union Jack muscle shirts than I care to remember.

Now I'm really happy we had a dress code.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

One leftover from the 80s sticks with me--the fabulousness of Converse low-tops. Loves them.

Yeah, and I didn't even mention all the girls who did the Madonna/Boy Toy-era thing. Lace fingerless gloves and goomie bracelets for DAYS.
