You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Ivar said that things like "straight edge" and "emocore" all started as jokes that people outside the original DC scene took way too seriously.

Ha! This sounds about right.

Buzz Aldrin once decked a guy who was insisting that the Moon landing was a hoax.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Which reminds me that I heard Os Mutantes in a McDonald's commercial the other day. A very WTF moment!

Seriously? That's nutty.

Seriously! (I had to look it up just to make sure I hadn't dreamed it.)

Favorite 70s Video This week: "I Lost My Heart to a Starship Trooper" by Sarah Brightman and Hot Gossip.

Deerhoof released a song from their upcoming album, as sheet music. They've been encouraging their fans to send in their own versions of the song.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I don't know if there are any Fall Out Boy/other Decaydance band fans who have not been following along the viral marketing campaign, but there is a "mixtape" available for free here:

You have to pull the little election lever, and I have to say it did not play well at first.

There are some new Fall Out Boy songs, contributions from Panic and the Disco, Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heros, a cute song about Obama from the Hush Sound, and others. Also of note is that Seth Green appears on Track 5.
