Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Bonus points for coming up with a new number.

If phone numbers count, there's

"634-5789" -- Wilson Pickett
"Beechwood 4-5789" -- Marvelettes (also the Carpenters)

Years or decades:

"1900 Yesterday" -- Liz Damon's Orient Express
"'65 Love Affair" -- Paul Davis
"Summer of '69" -- Brian Adams
"Ready for the '80s" -- Village People
"'80s Ladies" -- K.T. Oslin
"1980" -- Estelle

Ones that I know (or would strongly argue) count:

"I Wish I Was 18 Again" -- George Burns
"98.6" -- Keith
"9,999,999 Tears" -- Dickey Lee

Not new numbers:

"16 Candles" -- Crests
"17 Again" -- Eurythmics
"50/50" -- Lemar
"A Million to One" -- Jimmy Charles

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Dave Carter and Tracy Grammar have a phone number one too. "236-6132", or something like that.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Actually, XM's '60s on 6 channel is running a special of Number Songs. I haven't heard it, but I'm sure they'd play "25 Miles" by Edwin Starr, or (if years count) "In the Year 2525" by Zager and Evans.

Oh, I eliminated ordinals, years, and route numbers from contention.

I'd like to get rid of times too, if I can find replacements.

Ann, that's a ferret.

There goes half of my list.... Though anyone that likes "American Boy" should check out "1980," anyway.

And I do have a few more "16" songs:

"Only 16" -- Sam Cooke OR Dr. Hook
"When You Were Sweet 16" -- Perry Como (among others)
"Happy Birthday Sweet 16" -- Neil Sedaka
"You're 16" -- Johnny Burnette OR Ringo Starr
"16 Going on 17" -- Sound of Music

I'm mostly using 867-5309 because of the "Jenny I got your number" chorus.

juliana, I knew you would have the Lucero, but I'd also love "1234" and "10 Piegamenti!".

Sexy and 17! Yes! Does anyone have this?

Or, "Sixteen Candles"? Although, I'm not short on ideas for 16. I already eliminated "You're Sixteen, You're Beautiful, and You're Mine" and "Only Sixteen". As for the color theme, I was surprised what numbers were easy (7? 9?) and what were hard (10?).
