Well, isn't it? Hairspray aside?

Only in the sense that the very concept of any of those people having sex is utterly revolting. Otherwise...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have an unmarked mix CD in the wrong case. I cannot figure out what it is:

It is on Verbatim LP style CD -

track #1 is a male voice with about 1 min intro of guitar track #2 sounds like the title might be karate man track #3 is Elvis Costello track #4 is a band with a female singer with harmonies on "Radio. Radio" and "This is not the way". track#5 is a female singer - maybe the Hideout?

does anyone recognize this combo of songs?

That's mine! But it's not my Buffista mix.

I'll look for the track info when I get home, msbelle, and email it to you.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh Hecubot! I spent part of last night downloading & assembling your Toil & Trouble playlist, and am now listening to it on the shiny shiny iPod. Very fun!

Yay for new iPods!

Currently listening to a mix I made for our agency picnic, which is trickier than you think (nothing too raucous, no cuss words, no sex content, but it has to be jumpy and interesting without being intrusive). The line-up:

  • "Total Destruction To Your Mind" - Swamp Dogg
  • "Hit It And Quit It" - Funkadelic
  • "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" - Slits

  • "Ma" - Tom Ze
  • "Corona" - Calexico
  • "Turn On Your Lovelight" - Bobby "Blue" Bland
  • "All Around The World" - Little Willie John
  • "The Tide Is High" - The Paragons
  • "Pressure Drop" - Toots & The Maytals
  • "Organ Donor" - DJ Shadow
  • "The Laws Have Changed" - New Pornographers
  • "Race for the Prize" - Flaming Lips
  • "I Turn My Camera On" - Spoon
  • "I Want You Back" - J5
  • "Super Bad Parts 1 & 2" - James Brown
  • "Beans & Cornbread" - Louis Jordan
  • "Yip Roc Heresy" - Slim Gaillard
  • "What'd I Say" - Ray Charles
  • "Mah-Na-Mah-Na" - Piero Umiliani
