Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Golden Earring's Radar Love has always been a great road trip song for me, and I could send you that.

I've been drivin' all night,
my hand's wet on the wheel
There's a voice in my head that drives my heel
It's my baby callin', says I need you here
And it's half past four and I'm shifting gear

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Good g*d juliana. You know, one day, I aspire to a music collection that is at least one-tenth of the typical buffista Music poster.

Based on bands I know I like, and titles, I'd say: "Yellow Checkered Cars (Bang The Doldrums)" - Fall Out Boy "Keep The Car Running" - Arcade Fire "Tonight Is The Night I Fell Asleep At The Wheel" - Barenaked Ladies "Hurtin' Albertan" - Corb Lund Band "A Girl Named GO" - Cory Branan "Passenger Seat" - Death Cab For Cutie "One Piece At A Time" - Johnny Cash "Bikeriders" - Lucero "American Car" - Mike Doughty "Lovers In The Backseat" - Scissor Sisters

"Sweet Carolina Rain" - Kane

This would good for my April Showers mix.

"Highway 101" - Social Distortion

I considered this (esp. since I will be driving up the coast), but didn't love it.

"Brand New Cadillac" - Vince Taylor and His Playboys

Damn! I have this in the mix too (by The Clash) but it's not on my list. I must have forgotten to copy a few from home.

Either way is fine. Or, you can use my real last name @ gmail--of course, then you have to know how to spell it!!!

And she laughed and laughed...

"Contact" by Phish (now at brawk).

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I owe a lot of my music to other Buffistas, for we are a rockin' community.

I think 1/2 of most of my holiday mixes are courtesy of Hec.

buffistarawk is the one exception to my "I don't download free music" rule. I figure it's the equivalent of borrowing a friend's album to make a mix tape.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Elastica, "Car Song"
Butterfly Boucher, "Another White Dash"
