Steph, Gerard Way himself has referred to his band as "razzle dazzle cupcakes." You'd have to try a lot harder to insult them than just calling them campy and melodramatic.
Yep. While Gerard is Very Serious about Saving Your Life, he aalso embraces the camp and melodrama with a big grin. I'm certain I read an interview somewhere where he talks about his Rocky Horror cast member phase ...
