Oh, Tep! You didn't like "Bang the Doldrums"?! ::sobs::
The lyrics absolutely kill me, but the tune is hella catchy, too, with those drums. I'm thrilled you like "Sugar," though!
'Lineage'
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"Thx Fr Mmrs" (or however they spell that vowel-less title, which is LAME)
It's "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs", and they titled it that because their record label was bitching at them to shorten their notoriously long song titles. So they took out the vowels as a joke.
So yeah, it's lame on purpose.
My favorite is "Our Lawyer Made Us Change the Name of This Song".
that is a great song but I think it's emo.
Best friends, ex-friends to the end, better off as lovers, and not the other way around
Sorry, sorry.
I ... was going to start quoting and then realized I'd have to quote the whole song.
::walks away singing "I can't commit to a thing be it heart or hospital..."::
If we're going to have a conversation about what constitutes emo, I'll just sit in the corner with a bottle of scotch and drink until someone signals that we're done.
Can I sit with you?
::eyes scotch lovingly::
::budges in with Amy & shrift, brings Canadian whiskey & Fernet::
somebody asked upthread. I thought I was being helpful.
I'd venture that any allusion to slitting your wrists earns you an emo tag.
