You can't open the book of my life and jump in the middle. Like woman, I'm a mystery.

Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Yes I knew of the recent VS shows and hope they come back!! I also enjoyed Richard's SF band Whysall Lane. He rocks.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

It's a bit counter-intuitive, but MCR's "I'm Not OK" helps me rally when I'm beat.

Something about singing "I'm NOT OK" over and over again kind of helps my brain move past that fact. And its peppy.

Frail my heart apart and play me a little Shady Grove

I understand Trudy. Peppy death songs cheer me immeasurably.

d,

"Mary Ellen Carter" - Stan Rogers "Across the Universe" - my favorite version is Noel Bridgeman live on the Mary Black double album

Both have made me fight on.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Tep, from a while back (I can never keep up these days)

They reviewed it the other day, and it sounds really good, in an old-school soul way, a la Amy Winehouse (ish).

You might like Duffy. Very neo-60s soul. [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I recommend...."Fight Song" by Flaming Lips.

Also, "I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty.
