Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Famous Flower of Manhattan, The Avett Brothers (who are AWESOME, btw)

I agree. I saw them when I lived in Maryland. Love them. So, I’d definitely like this one. And also these, if you’re still willing to send them:
These Flowers, Martha Wainwright
Flowers in December, Mazzy Star
Fleur de Saison, Emilie Simon
Flowers in the Window, Travis
Magnolia Mountain, Ryan Adams

I realized I have the Yo Lo Tengo.

As usual, I don’t recognize half the names on Cor’s list, but I think I’d like any of the following:
Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire - "Fatal Flower Garden"
The Clean - "Flowers"
Drive-By Truckers - "Plastic Flowers on the Highway"
Jonathan Richman - "My Love Is A Flower (Just Beginning To Bloom)"
Low - "Sunflower"
Magnetic Fields - "The Flowers She Sent And The Flowers She Said She Sent"
Wilco - "Forget The Flowers"
Laurie Anderson - "White Lily"
Luna - "Tiger Lily"
Shearwater - "Mountain Laurel"
Spatula - "Peony"
Richard Buckner - "Dogwood"

I wanted to add the Cowsills', "The Rain, the Park, and Other Things" for the line, "I love the flower girl." But no flowers in the title.

That's in my April Showers mix!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

Last night, I also thought of the The Talking Heads “(Nothing but) Flowers” which seems essential. I thought I had it, but no. So, if anyone does, I'd appreciate them sending it.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I'll upload all of those plus the Talking Heads to the buffistarawk tonight. I thought someone had already mentioned the Talking Heads or I would've.

Versus - Morning Glory (hell yeah!)

Is this your Versus, Glamcookie? Cuz I'd like to hear. Is there a link to a website or MySpace page?

Versus is one of my fave of all time bands - they are from New York. They do have a My Space but Morning Glory isn't on it... Still looking to see if I can find it online. It is a great song from a truly amazing record ( Two Cents Plus Tax). They aren't active anymore, which is very sad-making.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Reading the other suggestions, I just remembered Tori Amos - Daisy Dead Petals.

Computer formatting killed most of my Tori files and bootlegs long time ago, and I haven't restored most of them. I think I'm gonna search this one.

LOVE THEM!!! I saw them a bunch when I was in grad school because my best grad school friend was friends with the Baluyut brothers.
