OK, bandom must be really viral, because I have been off the board for about a week, week and a half because I was doing a show. I was able to go on-line, though, and I have been inhaling Pete Wentz/Patrick Stump fanfiction . And have now decided I want to listen to the music (yes I realize this is backwards.) And now I can!
Also, one of the costumes for the show I just did was inspired by this [link] picture of panic at the disco. I made the jacket and shirt the boy on the far right is wearing. (is he Ryan?)
The one on the far right is in fact Ryan, and that jacket is FANTASTIC.
Yup, the boy on the far right is Ryan.
They were totally baroque circus chic for that tour. I loved it.
Anyway, my current fave Sia song is "Soon We'll Be Found" on
Some People Have Real Problems.
It's available on iTunes and eMusic.
I read a review of Sia's album on Pitchfork, but I haven't pursued her music. Good to know you like it.
I totally wouldn't have thought that MCR was teen-y music.
It's not, except that Gee is totally invested in Saving Kids' Lives.
WTFF? Joy Division limited edition Microsoft Zune.
Hrm? Weird.
The only Sia song I have is "Rewrite". It's enjoyable, but a little dreamy for my tastes.
Anyone like Sia?
I have a few of her songs... I love "The Church of What's Happening Now." She sings vocals on a lot of Zero 7's stuff, IIRC, so people may be familiar with her that way.
About MCR being teeny music, I just let people mock me. I have taken the "guilty" out of "guilty pleasures," thanks to Mr. Gabe Saporta.
Nick is cuter than GeeWay was at that age, which makes me fear for his gorgeousness to come.
Bev! I see you... re: your second comparison... does Gerard resemble the one on the right or the left?
I'm completely earwormed with MCR's "Teenagers," and I blame you all.
This, despite the fact that I don't actually HAVE the song; I just watched it on the MCR media site over the weekend.
(I wouldn't say no if someone sent it to me, though....)
I'm lucky to have an automatic free pass when it comes to liking teen-y music: I'm a teen librarian! It's my *job* to know about the stuff they like!
(This led a friend of mine to refer to my recent trip to Denver to see MCR with a bunch of fangirls as "professional development." Whee! Now if only I could get reimbursed for the cost of the tickets...)
