'Out Of Gas'
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Oh! And this doesn't include the All American Rejects, who have their own bandom thing that sometimes interacts with the rest of bandom, or The Libertines, who had a separate fandom/bandom thing pre-Babyshambles, or anything about bands prior to 2000. Because that's a whole bucket of worms I'm not going to touch.
See also Ashlee Simpson, for obvious reasons
What obvious reaons? Was she dating one of them?
She is engaged to Pete Wentz.
She is engaged to Pete Wentz.
Huh. Shouldn't that lower my opinion of him?
It depends! People hate on Pete Wentz for being a famewhore and a not terribly accomplished musician and in a successful mainstream band; people hate on Ashlee Simpson for being, well, a Simpson, a successful mainstream pop princess, and having once lip-synced on live national television. But then again, you can look at Pete's success as an example of a well-masterminded music project, and Ashlee's music as classic examples of contemporary pop. I fall somewhere along the line on any given day.
Ashlee's music as classic examples of contemporary pop.
It would help if she made any decent pop music. I mean, she's sub-Avril.
Mmm, I'd class the new cd as Cyndi Lauper throwback with a Gwen Stefani curve. For all that we never ever need another Gwen Stefani, I'm not going to lie, it's damn catchy.

Yeah, until she writes a song anywhere near as good as "I'm Just A Girl" or throws anything as left field as a drumline into her pop songs, she's not anywhere close to Gwen's stature as a pop princess. (Much less a style icon.) Let's see if Moby (or the contemporary Moby equivalent) wants to do something with her.
Dear MCR, I think you should re-record that song and make a new video, now that you have a budget to support Gerard's Artistic Visions.
Aw, but then it wouldn't have dreadheaded Frank in his pothead days, and it wouldn't be recorded in the corner of someone's basement with fake window silhouettes painted onto the walls! ...Actually, okay, carry on.
PS, please cover "Kiss Off" by the Violent Femmes.
Oh man, how awesome would that be?
Do you know, I still haven't ever finished watching LOTMS?
What?? How is that possible? Do I need to kidnap you for a bandom weekend?
So, from the description, I'd probably really like The Hush Sound.
Jilli, they're excellent. The new album, Goodbye Blues, is great, but I still think Like Vines is their best. Try "Wine Red" and "Magnolia" -- my favorite songs of theirs.
