You don't really think I'm going to pass up the last part, do you?

Yay! It's a good thing Pete is going to be sequestered away upstairs, working on his deadline.

So, from the description, I'd probably really like The Hush Sound.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I cannot speak on the rest of the Decaydance stable (The Academy Is..., The Cab, The Thomas Mally Experience, Doug, Four Year Strong, Lifetime, Tyga), except to note that Tyga is related to Gym Class Heroes somehow.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Found the VWNHY cover on the Immortality Project site you pointed me to. Was looking for a live version similar to the teaser they're doing on this tour. A honky-tonk version *could* be good... but this one isn't. Someone named J. Gale Kilgore.

Dear MCR, I think you should re-record that song and make a new video, now that you have a budget to support Gerard's Artistic Visions.

Dear MCR, do what Jilli says, it's better for everyone in the long run. PS, please cover "Kiss Off" by the Violent Femmes. Ta.

Do you know, I still haven't ever finished watching LOTMS?

YES IT IS.

(Dear MCR, please come hang out at my house. You all could play Halo with Pete, and then you all could play D&D. Then I would steal your lead singer to play with makeup, and talk about the horror genre.)

PS, please cover "Kiss Off" by the Violent Femmes. Ta.

No no, they need to cover "Last of the Famous International Playboys" by Morrissey.

COHEN'S HALLELUJAH. I DECREE IT.

(Dear MCR, listen to Jilli. Also, don't mind me stealing your hairlicious lead guitarist - I just need some tips on guitar playing. Your drummer, though, you might not get back.)

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

The Cab - all very young, have been described as "a boy band that plays instruments." Their first single is kind of ridiculously catchy.

Tyga - most recent Decaydance member, is the cousin of Travis from Gym Class Heroes. I think he raps?

Doug - As far as I can tell, the only thing he's done so far is a CD of Michael-Buble-esque covers of Decaydance artists' songs. He's got a nice voice, and his cover of Fall Out Boy's "Dance, Dance" is really pretty cool.

They can cover both! And now I'm going to think of other Cohen songs they could cover... like The Partisan. Oh, GeeWay singing in French...

If you like The Hush Sound, I also recommend The Pierces. Jilli, their album is called "Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge," the cover is pale pink and black, and they sound kind of like Rasputina crossed with, um, Gwen Stefani.

No, come back! It works!

eta that The Pierces are totally not in bandom... but they played on Gossip Girl so they're still fannish.

I saw The Cab with Cobras - I liked them. I could see them again this weekend, if it weren't Passover.

(gotta run, y'all) Hi Amy! Bye Amy!

Funny Bandom(esque) Story:

So, smonster and I went to back-to-back MCR concerts a couple weeks ago. First night in the pit, second night one level above the pit, for lo, we were tired and the baby fans do not know how to mosh. We had a most enjoyable time at both concerts, but we were, as noted, tired on the second night. We got home after the second concert, decided that our MCR needs were met, and put on Fall Out Boy (to make for an easy transition). As the guitars really kicked in on "The Take Over, The BReak's Over", we both threw out devil horns and started headbanging. We were well-trained (and punchy) at that point.

Okay, this intrigues me. I will have to give them a listen.
