Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

What channel was U!AMW on?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

How much XTC sounded like Gang of Four in their early days.

Was this post-Barry Andrews? Because I can totally see that. I would think those helium-injected keybs of Andrews would seriously mitigate any Go4 comparisons (despite his ending up with Dave Allen in Shriekback).

It's pretty early in their career. 1980-81? It's one of the only clips of them as a live band.

They do "Respectable Street" - a song I used to put on all my party mixes in college.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I never understood how Belinda was all curvy when a crazy coke head and how skinny when cleaned up.

Depends on what else she was doing at the time, but I know a couple people who put on the pounds when doing a lot of coke. Basically, they stop exercising and they feel like they can drink a lot more, both of which more than counteract the metabolism speed-up.

Well, if you all still have VCRs I can tape it for you.
