There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Poll: Should I go see the Pogues (w/ Shane McGowan) during St. Patrick's Day week?
Pros: I love them. One of my fave bands ever! And I never saw them with Shane (although I did see them when they toured w/ Joe Strummer singing lead. A bonus for me since I'd never gotten to see the Clash.)
Cons: Obnoxious frat boy crowd possibly? Expensive tickets ($60! WHA?!)

YES. Yesyesyesyesyesyesyes. Yes.
What Juliana said.
Wear your anti-frat-boy mental armor because anywhere you go on St Patty's Day will be rife with them but for goodness sakes go see The Pogues!
Well it's not on actual St. Patrick's Day and it's in the middle of the week so that could help.
Hey, Hec. Just got word that one of the copies of Swordfishtrombones I ordered is on the way from Amazon (the other one is supposed to ship with Corwood's Shoot Out the Lights, but I wouldn't be surprised if they shipped it separately, depending on when the latter comes out).
