Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

X's cover of "Shoot Out The Lights" sent to B'rawk just now.

That might be my favorite thing on Beat the Retreat. Though I also really like the version of A Heart Needs a Home. Also liked Bob Mould and Los Lobos.

I may be the only one, but I like REM's cover of "Wall of Death".

I kind of have mixed feelings about that one, Cor. But then I've never really loved their covers because they wind up sounding too R.E.M. to me. Probably Stipe's voice.

Though I did like seeing him sing "Moon River" in concert.

I like that it sounds more like REM than R & L T. It's not a great cover, but it's a simple, tossed-off pleasure. I've yet to meet anyone other R & L T fan who agrees with me on that front, though.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Jon, the Hoodoo Gurus do a great version called "Little Drummer Boy (Up the Khyber)" that I can send to you.

I've got that one, David, but I'd forgotten it. Thanks for the reminder!

Neutrino on the My Pal God Holiday Record 2

Excellent! The show isn't for two weeks, so keep 'em coming.

Well there is that. Stupid reality. What fun are book deals if you don't get any mad money out of it.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

what is this music group and how can I be a part of it? I'm with Vonnie in trying to complete my Life soundtrack.
