No worries, Sumi. You were just repeating what the Fire Engines Ignoramus wrote.

Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
I spotted Jon before he put in the notes. It wasn't that hard.
I wonder what's the largest theremin orchestra ever assembled
If by "Orchestra" you mean "theremins playing together", then it was likely the one at Hands Off, the source of that photo. During the Sunday concert, there were several group pieces performed. Not everyone in the photo participated in those pieces, but most of them did.
I got paid the second half of my advance!
Now we can buy the desperately needed new mattress, I can get glasses that allow me to see Jon in a crowd and, of course, I bought music.
I got the Charlotte Gainsbourg album that came out this year (last year?), the Pylon reissue (I have it on vinyl, but not on CD), Pulp - His n Hers (been getting heavily into Pulp lately), the Bevis Frond compiled collection On the Brink, the Futureheads (with their cover of "Hounds of Love"), the stupid Elton John tribute record (for Kate Bush covering "Rocket Man" - so good).
Other recent purchases: Mono Puffs - It's Fun to Steal (side project for John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants. Gotten primarily for the cover of the song "Pretty Fly" which is the eerie, haunting song the little girl Pearl sings in Night of the Hunter when they're traveling downriver at night), Iron & Wine's The Shepard's Dog, The Hold Steady (finally - so very Bruce + Thin Lizzy), The Bent Scepters (red hot garage rock) and The Heavy Heavy Hits of Madness (Everybody go listen to "Night Train to Cairo" right now!).
Now playing: AC/DC's Powerage. (Their best album. And Tina Luchessi will back me up on this.)
Yay!
the Bevis Frond compiled collection On the Brink
I'm curious to know what you think of that. I haven't heard it.

The band Young People do a version of that. They call it "The Night of the Hunter" and incorporate other elements of the film in it. Highly recommended.
So. Screamin' Jay Hawkins. "Constipation Blues." Awesome? or not?
I vote "awesome."

Also, after putting my manuscript through 2 more drafts in the past week-and-a-half, I sent it to Continuum last night. Not a word from the editor yet, which I find a bit anxiety-inducing.

Thanks! I wasn't able to make it to that event for some reason but I just heard about how someone had blogged about Rachel's friendliness and hospitality. A photo from that night!:
