There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Kristin H. is really funny. She always tells these weird little stories between songs when she does acoustic sets. She has a blog on her Web site, too - throwingmusic.com. She's a fantastic writer. What can't that woman do???

Is BigDuluth a new poster or someone who changed names?

Punishingly Intricate

Is BigDuluth a new poster or someone who changed names?

New, I think. Brought here by Allyson's book.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I haven't gotten around to downloading it.

I was thinking I'd pay $10. It's worth that, right?

Art Crawl!!!

I would think so!

I was trying to figure out both what I can afford (not very much) and how much is fair.

On the other hand, the actual cd will come out eventually and I know that I'll want that.

I hardly ever buy CDs these days. Unless it's something I can't download or it's something I'm really gonna like and I can't find a high-bitrate mp3 of it and the music is complex enough where 128kb compression might not sound as well as I'd like.

ION, has anyone tried the Amazon mp3 thingie? They're high-bitrate, right? Plus no DRM and I think the prices are pretty comparable to the iTunes store.

Ann, that's a ferret.

On the other hand, I like having hard copy backup of my music. So if my iTunes library ever crashes again, I don't lose everything.

Problem is, since Tower shut down last year, there's no decent music store around here. And my favorite music tends to come from the other side of the Atlantic. What with the weak dollar and substantial shipping costs, it gets pricey.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

skip=500 to say, David, I was able to get a copy of OA before I left the country and cheered when I saw your article! It was really good. We listened to the mix cd yesterday--it's very quirky.
