I loved that show (it was repeated on the BBC throughout the '70s) and it's beautiful, fey title music. It didn't even matter that it was dubbed, or that it was in black and white, like with "Champion the Wonder Horse".

You watched "Champion the Wonder-Horse"? Did you get "Fury, King of the Mustangs", too? (That was one of my favorite afterschool programs.)
Also, oddly enough my cousins had a Pyr named Belle and it was mostly my cousin Andy's dog and "Sebastian' was one of the names in consideration for him when he was born.
(I don't think that show played over here at all.)

There's a series of books. Sébastien is so named because he was born on that saint's day. In the original TV series, he is played by the author's son.
